HIV testing services
The overarching goals of HIV testing services are to:
- Identify people with HIV through the provision of quality of services for individuals, couples and families
- Link individuals and their families to appropriate HIV treatment, care and support, as well as HIV prevention services, based upon their serostatus
- Support the scale up of high impact interventions in Myanmar to reduce HIV transmission, morbidity and mortality, including early access to antiretroviral therapy (ART), prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT), post exposure prophylaxis (PEP), pre exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and other interventions approved by the National AIDS Programme and the Ministry of Health and Sports.
